This page is intended to answer questions for existing speakers on our platform - or their representatives.

Benefits of Having a Podcast on Muslim Central?

Free Hosting
Muslim Central is completely free for both the speaker and the end user. As a non-profit organization, we cover all hosting and IT infrastructure costs, allowing you to focus solely on creating impactful content.

Optimal Distribution
Your content will be available on our Website and possibly on our Android app and/or Podcast Platforms such as Apple Podcasts and third-party apps. This ensures optimal distribution and the reward of spreading goodness.

Your content can also be consumed in various other ways, such as using Apple Podcasts via Alexa. Users can also listen via various forms of hardware, in-car, etc.

Your Own Channel
You’ll have a dedicated channel on our platform.

Content Management
We typically extract the audio from videos, and publish as podcast episodes. These are only publicly available videos, and you can request to have any episode removed if needed at any time.

End-to-End Publishing
We handle every aspect of publishing your audio podcast, making the process seamless for you. Think of us as your free, private podcast publishing platform.

Apple & Spotify Podcasts (Optional) We’ll set up your podcast on Apple Podcasts, making it accessible to a global audience or skip this step if you already have a presence there.

Custom RSS Feed (Optional) Receive your own RSS feed, which is consumed by countless podcast platforms, ensuring your content is widely distributed. If you have your own app, you could have your developer integrate this into your app!

Inclusion in Our App (Optional) Your podcast will be featured in the Muslim Central app, increasing visibility and accessibility for users.

Opt-Out

We will still host your content, even if you opt out of any of these! We are doing this as a service for the Ummah.

AI Text
We generate Text Summaries and Transcripts using AI. While quality may vary, it assists users in finding specific phrases or topics within talks and has other benefits. You can use it for research or writing. Feel free to request an opt-out on this.

Jingle & Donation CTA
To help sustain our non-profit organization, we include a brief jingle at the beginning of some audio episodes, encouraging listeners to consider supporting us. While optional, no speaker has requested exclusion so far, and your support helps us continue providing our services.

You may opt-out of including our jingles and donation calls to action at the start of your episodes. Note that we do not include it in every episode; instead, we use a randomizer that injects it occasionally.

Why Was I Not Asked Before Being Added?

Getting in touch with speakers has been extremely challenging. Without exaggeration, we have tried for years—tracking these efforts in a spreadsheet—to get in touch with so many of you, which has actually caused a massive backlog.

To benefit the masses, we recently decided to promote publicly available content in line with our copyright view, usually converting video to audio but NOT from behind paywalls.

We are here to benefit the Ummah and promote your work. Kindly consider the following before and refer to the benefits section above.

Key Points:

  • Non-Monetized Platform: We do not make any money from your content.
  • No Edits: We do not alter your content in any way.
  • Respect for Paywalls: We do not take content from behind paywalls.
  • Our Cost: It costs us to host and distribute the audio.
  • Minimal Complaints: In the past 10 years, only one speaker has requested their content be removed due to not asking beforehand.
  • Permissions Granted: Many speakers have granted us permission, and those we eventually contact are typically accepting as long as their work remains unmonetized. Some are even surprised that we ask—thinking, “of course, go ahead.”

If you still prefer to have your content channel removed, please feel free to drop us an email, and we will promptly honor your request.

Yes, at the time of writing, we have about two speakers whom we added here, linking to their podcasts and adding them to our app.

I want to change my bio, photo, and so on

No problem, we can do this for you. Simply drop us an email. Some of the things we can add/edit:

  • Bio
  • Photograph
  • Social Media Links
  • Add/Remove Audio

How do I get a speaker onto Muslim Central?

You can suggest a speaker by dropping us an email.

Currently, we have a large backlog of speakers to add, due to the time-consuming process of getting in touch with speakers or their representatives.

If your speaker is just starting out and does not give many talks in general, consider using other platforms.

I want to send in files manually that are not available online elsewhere

We will set up a special File Request folder online, where you can drop in the files. No sign-up is required.

  • Title the file as we will use that for the Title of the Talk
  • Audio/Video format, ideally MP3 (we will convert if not)
  • Optional (Text File) with Description of talk
